THE Zimbabwe National Army will this weekend hold a potentially-explosive golf tournament and fun shoot at Hillside Sports Club and Gallery Range, respectively.
The initiatives are aimed at raising funds for the Zimbabwe Defence Force (ZDF) charity organisations.
The event, which will be held tomorrow and spill into Sunday, is a brainchild of ZNA Executive Interaction Initiative that is also meant to cultivate corporate relations.
“This is an initiative that we hope it will be a success. We will channel all the proceeds to ZDF charity organisations such as at Tsanga Lodge, where there are people living with disabilities.
“The golf tournament will be held tomorrow at Hillside Sports Club, starting at 12pm, while the fun shoot, which is open for families, will be held on Sunday at 3,1 Combat, at Group gallery range,” said one of the organisers, Tenson Wachi.
“The ZNA Executive Interaction Initiative has fully embraced fun shoot and golf as worthwhile sports that bring together executive officers from industry and commerce, the public and general officers and senior officers of the ZDF in an environment that is conducive for informal interaction.”
For the fun shoot, participants will have an opportunity to fire pistols and AK47 rifles.
Entry fees will be $50 per player for golf tournament and $300 per team for the fun shoot and $50 per individual.
The event will provide a platform for companies and individuals to market their products at a fee of $50.
