Two funerals for one

The ManicaPost

A DARK cloud hung over our beloved city this week as we mourned two of our dear departed prominent figures.

Blabber will deliberately not go to town over the other funeral of one of them as it resembled the Carnival Expo that we used to witness in the capital a few years ago.

I mean the funeral of that other controversial old lady who initiated a number of young girls into prostitution and gave them charms to lure moneyed men.

Yours Truly has already declared that we will not delve into detail about this funeral because the shenanigans – that include a long list of people that benefited from her charms – are too much for our innocent, well behaved readers.

Instead, Blabber was touched by the untimely death of this other prominent businessman who earned so much respect around the city because the only thing he knew was to work for his family and never quarrelled with anyone like most of the businessmen we see today.

May his dear soul rest in eternal peace!

Being a prominent businessman that he was, Blabber is duty bound to unravel a few details surrounding his funeral.

Prominence is a news value, if you never knew!

Blabber is reliably informed that he married another wife after the death of his first wife but the new wife, it seems, never got along well with the children of the departed businessman.

No wonder, when he died there were two funerals, one at his home where his children, relatives and sympathisers gathered to pay their last respects while the new wife also had her relatives and sympathisers gathering to mourn the same person.

Word reaching Yours Truly is that the new wife was sidelined from all funeral proceedings by the deceased’s children.

To add salt to injury, the deceased businessman is said to have authored a will before he died that also sidelined the new wife.

This serves as a lesson to all women out there who date rich widowers or even divorcees thinking that they will inherit the man’s wealth when he eventually dies.

This one here is allegedly walking away with nothing.

Simply because Blabber has too much respect for the deceased businessman and his family, we will end here and let the bereaved mourn in peace.

But if need be, Yours Truly, like contemporary men of God, will certainly go deeper.

Girls on death row

Blabber is deeply worried about the love for money that has crept into our youth to the extent of seeking money spinning charms from different spiritualists.

Gentle reader, you certainly remember that infamous gang of ladies who went on a ritual expedition that resulted in the death of one of them recently.

Word reaching Yours Truly is that all these girls, who are on an uncontrolled beer drinking spree these days, are on a death row and soon, I mean very soon, we will be mourning them one by one.

Blabber is watching!

Please do not argue with me, I need and go to watch my beloved Gems in World Cup action.

Later shall be greater!
