Dear TeteGrowing up was not easy as I come from a huge family and had to share everything. My prayer was that when I grow up I would not allow anyone to stop my success for any reason. I worked hard day and night, crossing borders and trading goods. I married my husband and we built our home. Now, all my problems follow again. We have no peace in my home. Everyday someone is coming to my home with problems. Am I being selfish, wanting to only be with my husband and children?

I will begin by answering your question. The answer is no. You have every right to enjoy your life with whoever you choose to do so with. Your family is now your major concern and priority. Your children need you and so does your husband. Remember also that we do not live in incubators, but in communities that include friends, relatives and workmates etc. Everyone in our lives is precious and important. No one must weigh you down to the extent that you end up malfunctioning. Be there for your extended family, but know where to draw the line. Speak to your husband about the situation and agree on a solution.
