BLABBER was hurt to hear that this other footie star who made a fortune during his heydays is now singing the blues.
I mean this other brother of ours who had a very impoverished upbringing and rose to fame through his God-given talent on the pitch.
Interestingly, he was not even one of the best we have among the football stars that used to grace our stadia, but somehow, the heavens smiled at him and he grabbed the chance with both hands.
To his credit, his career blossomed from playing in the local top-flight league to that league in a neighbouring country which attracts most of the local stars because of its financial rewards.
He did not only play for modest teams, but played for one of the biggest institutions in that lucrative league.
This is how he made his money.
With a little bit of a sense of responsibility, he managed to build about three houses in different suburbs around our beautiful city.
However, Blabber is convinced that with the amount of money he made at the height of his career, he could have done much, much better.
Instead, he chose to acquire more women than assets!
Apart from the three wives he had locally, he even had the tenacity to marry a woman from that country he was playing football.
The sad thing about being a star in a foreign land is that in the end they always remind you, you are a foreigner.
Word reaching Yours Truly is that the boy is now struggling to make ends meet.
In fact, those women who used to share the hefty sign-on fees and salaries are now learning the art of selling second-hand clothes to put food on the table.
Their situation has been worsened by the fact that the latest foreign wife is too demanding and his meagre salary at his lowly club can no longer cover all expenses as usual.
With more than 10 children looking up to this bare skinned bloke for school fees and food, the financial burden is now just too heavy to bear.
Yours Truly wonders whether this boy will come back home and live a humble lifestyle after years of balling on the fast lane, cruising in top of the range automobiles.
Blabber even wonders what will be his words to those poor siblings he looked down upon and scorned during the days he was making some good money for himself and his chain of concubines.
That he also scorned most of the people who helped him along the way makes the return home even more complicated for this pea-headed bloke.
This is undoubtedly a valid lesson for all of us.
Be good to the people on your way up the ladder, simply because you will meet the same people on your way down!
And in other news, they are trooping back home.
Blabber initially thought it was only this other slay queen.
Guess what, dear reader, it appears they are now trooping back home in their numbers after spending years thigh vending far away from their homeland.
Blabber recently went to town about that other flesh peddler who recently returned home.
The one who used to date the departed brother who used to work for the city’s major service provider.
Today, we have another returnee!
If your memory is strong as her name suggests, this other very light skinned thigh vendor is also back in town.
