THE curse of the sacred month of November is proving to be true for a Mutambara family that records deaths during the month every year.

The continuous visits by the angel of death to the Faira family has seen a bloody feud erupting between the siblings.

The other family members are accusing their brother, Edson Faira and his wife, Eva Mudzimwa, of being the architectures of the family’s woes.

The couple stands accused of ‘parenting’ blood thirsty goblins wreaking havoc in the family by causing continuous deaths.

Mysteriously, the deaths only happen in November annually.

The victims exhibit the same symptoms before dying.

They experience a fever before their stomachs swell up.

Medical check-ups on the victims give them a clean bill of health, but they won’t survive the ‘November attack’.

Witness, David and Thandiwe Faira, among other family members, all believe that these deaths are being masterminded by their sister-in-law, Mudzimwa, with the blessings of their brother, Edson.

The siblings believe that Edson is under a spell cast by Mudzimwa.

Appearing before Acting Chief Saurombe, Witness accused Mudzimwa of killing his parents and other family members over the last few years.

He claimed that his five-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter are also on the hit list.

He paraded the children before the court.

“My mother exhibited the same symptoms before she died. The same also happened to my father. Even her children also suffered the same fate, yet she (Mudzimwa) continues holding on to the blood sucking goblins.

“May this honourble court come to our rescue because I do not want to lose my children. We have been experiencing deaths in our family every November.

“This month is proving to be a cursed one for us and we always dread it. It seems her next target is my son, look at his condition. He struggles to breathe and he is in excruciating pain,” lamented Witness.

“This woman is heartless. She even killed her own children.

“Maybe with your intervention she will relent,” he pleaded with the court.

Acting Chief Mutambara recused himself from the matter as is related to Mudzimwa.

He referred the family to Acting Chief Saurombe’s court.

However, Mudzimwa distanced herself from the deaths. She said she is equally puzzled by the November deaths.

She said when the matter was still before Acting Chief Mutambara, a traditional healer exonerated her, claiming that the deaths were a result of vengeance from the Faira ancestors.

“The traditional healer told them what to do to appease the vengeful spirits. They turned a deaf ear to the advice and they are using me as a scapegoat,” she said.

But the Fairas claim that all the traditional healers they have consulted are pointing fingers at Mudzimwa.

“This woman and her coven of witches are trying to wipe off our clan.

“She and her husband want to remain as the sole Fairas,” charged Witness.

After the matter was transferred to Acting Chief Saurombe’s court, Mudzimwa refused to attend, thereby prompting the chief to send his aides to drag her to court.

“You are so lucky that this court will not charge you with contempt of court, but next time you will not get away with it.

“As for the bedridden children, we are not accusing you of inflicting their illness, but if they die before your next court appearance, you will be in hot soup.

“Kill yourselves as adults, but do not torment innocent souls like this,” said Acting Chief Saurombe.

He adjourned the matter to this Sunday (December 19) to allow a traditional healer to come and offer spiritual guidance.
