A HOB-HOUSE man is accusing his two female neighbours of witchcraft after they allegedly appeared in his dreams and caused him to have wet dreams.

Admire Chisango (34) appeared in court this week facing two counts of malicious damage to property as defined in Section 140 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act, Chapter 9:23, after he smashed windowpanes at Ms Sibongile Mukweya (27) and Mrs Nyasha Nyamagodo (45)’s houses.

Chisango of Hobhouse 2 accused his neighbours of witchcraft and admitted that he smashed their windows.

The parties appeared before Mutare magistrate, Ms Prisca Manhibi, who remanded Chisango in custody for two weeks pending a psychological evaluation from two doctors to determine his mental status.

Ms Sandra Mlambo prosecuted.

In her statement before the court, Mrs Nyamangodo described Chisango as a violent and abusive neighbour with a knack for disturbing her peace.

“His vandalism of my property cost me $40 and this left my house prone to break-ins,” said Mrs Nyamangodo.

In mitigation, Chisango said he damaged the properties after his neighbours appeared in his dreams on different occasions and caused him to have wet dreams.

He also told the court that he believes that the women practise witchcraft as they constantly appear in his dreams.

“When I threw stones at the first complainant’s house, the dreams stopped for about five days, before resuming again.

“I scolded the women and smashed their windowpanes. This resulted in them stopping their shenanigans. However, after a couple of days I started hearing their voices during the night. When I wake up it is as if l would have been intimate with a woman,” he said.
