As herbalists, we realise that pressure and life viewpoint significantly sway our wellbeing and that each fibre of our being is interconnected. While stress is viewed as an emotional state that a large number of us battle with in the 21st century, it additionally affects us physically. For this reason, to achieve real wellness in your life, your personal health care plan is best ensured by practicing regular self-care.

Body

Consolidate herbs in your every day schedules: Adding herbs to your day by day wellbeing routine is an extraordinary method to check in with your body’s needs. We want to drink dandelion tea toward the beginning of the day to help advance sound liver capacity and get the stomach related juices streaming; we drink peppermint tea or ginger tea after lunch to settle an infrequent miracle belly; and we want to taste on lavender or chamomile tea before sleep time to enable us to slow down after an insane day.* Whether you drink home grown tea hot or iced, add herbs to your juice or smoothies, there is nothing like plant power to help you stay well.

Move your body routinely: that is to say, it is a known killer. Whether you like yoga, zumba or body-building, science has proven the benefits of regularly exerting your body. Times are hard and we cannot all afford membership to the gym, however, try power walking or jogging. Worried about post-workout soreness? Try taking turmeric more regularly.

Practice Good Sleep Hygiene: Benjamin Franklin wrote, “Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.” In our modern age of constant stimuli, this is even more important. Experts advise limiting stimulating things like television time, phones and alcohol before bedtime to maintain health and genuine feelings of serenity. For periodic restlessness, herbs can be amazing allies.

Brain

Wash up: Bath treatment loosens up the body; likewise it also relaxes the mind. Include a couple of loosening up herbs or basic oils like lavender and chamomile, and all of a sudden you are not simply soaking in water; you are transporting yourself to a much calmer and more therapeutic dimension.

Read: Give your cellphone, tablet or TV screen a rest, and invigorate your mind as our forefathers would have done it by reading. Science indicates how reading improves mental sharpness, reduces pressure, and improves your vocabulary.

Soul

Invest some energy in nature: More and more proof focuses to the great Outdoors as a definitive healer for psyche, body and soul. Also, how about we not overlook the advantages of Vitamin D from the sun!

Interface with Community: Emotional association with others offers us an opportunity to break free from our individual confinement. Feeling that you are part your community can bring you joy and a feeling of having a place, regardless of whether you are volunteering at your nearby church, old people’s home or planting a community garden with neighbors, or arranging a casual get-together for you and your companions.

Cultivate wellness in all categories, and chances are you will be maintaining good health.
