TALENTED Zim dancehall chanter Seh Calaz believes his newly-released album titled Ndakatumwa will play a critical role in preaching peace and unity among musicians in Zimbabwe.
The dreadlocked musician whose real name is Tawanda Mumanyi is maturing with age like win judging from the inspiring and insightful lyrics contained on the new album which has since received thunderous response across the Zim dancehall music scene.
The album contains tracks such as title track Ndakatumwa, Pasi idandaro, Vanoyera, NdiMwari uyu, Chihera featuring Decibel, Supu yezondo, Mbanje budget and Chinhu ndechedu. He revealed that he has embarked on a nationwide tour to market to market the project which he describes as a Christmas present to his legion of fans dotted across the country.
He will embark his journey with a potentially-explosive gig at Club Mandisa tomorrow (Saturday) where he will perform alongside his fully-fledged live band called Mabhanditi.
“This is a project that carries songs with different themes such as love, peace and unity among all of us. We are impressed with the response the album has received so far. As Team Mabhanditi we realised the importance of taking the album across all cities so that they see us performing live. Mutare is one of our strongholds and we can’t afford to disappoint our fans,” said the chanter.
The multi-award winning artiste in an interview said his fans should expect a unique and polished performance since he would be performing with a live band.
Seh Calaz rose to fame in 2013 with the release of hit single titled Mabhanditi which took local Zim dancehall music fraternity with a bang.
Despite competition from other Zim dancehall chanters such as Soul Jah Love and Killer T who are riding high with albums Naka dula dhaka and Mashoko anopfuura respectively which were also released this year, the award-winning musician believes his album is unique.
