Some said even her surviving children refused to take sacks of green-backs that were stashed in her house while others said two big snakes were killed the day she died at her home.
Others professed about the bales of female undergarments that were packed in her house which were submitted by young girls that she initiated into prostitution.
It is said the undergarments were used for some rituals to ensure that the young women attract moneyed men wherever they go. As if that was enough, others spoke about litres of male semen that were recovered from her house.
But far from the madding crowd that gathered to bury this woman of strange deeds, Yours Truly deliberately decided to dwell on issues surrounding this other respected departed businessman who breathed his last and was laid to rest recently.
Blabber is aware of the need to respect the dead let alone the principle of Ubuntu that urges us all to let the bereaved family mourn their dear departed in peace.
But how can Blabber remain silent when all this drama is happening right under his nose?
Shall Blabber remain silent when the daughter of the departed businessman turns her fathers’ funeral into a war zone where she hires unemployed and unemployable youths to harass her father’s second wife?
Shall Blabber remain silent when the same daughter, with the help of these uncouth youths, steal the deceased father’s body from the funeral parlour in order to make sure the widow does not get anywhere near the funeral proceedings?
Shall Blabber remain silent when the same daughter instigates uncouth youths to assault her own brother simply because the young man did the right thing in taking sides with the widow?
Shall Blabber remain silent when such a respected family needs the help of security agents to restore sanity at the funeral and let everyone pay their last respects to their loved one?
I guess your answer is as good as mine!
