MJOLO is street lingo for dating someone or courtship.

This of late has also been used to describe a not so serious love relationship.

Highs and lows, ups and downs, flowery moments and heartbreaks often characterise the nature of the relationship.

Having inspired by such, Mutare-born artiste, Shame Isaki has dropped a single, Mjolo Explosion.

The single was produced by Joseph Makiwa and is already rocking the airwaves. Isaki, in an interview, said he is happy with the support that he is receiving ever since joining the mainstream music industry.

He said the song is a gospel track where he asks God to intervene and bless relationships as most of them often end in tears.

“Mjolo Explosion is a song that aptly describes the explosive effects of mjolo or dating in different people’s lives. It is a prayer to God to intervene because many people in different spheres of life are experiencing nightmares after mjolo goes wrong. I am impressed with the response the single track is getting, and I am sure it is reaching the targeted market which are the youths. I am also glad that people are also interested with my previous works,” said Isaki.

Isaki mooted his music career in 2017.

His first project was a single, Wadiwa Zimbabwe, followed by another single, Tinochema which was released in memory of Cyclone Idai victims.

He released his first album, Zvapera (It is finished) in 2022 which carried songs like Wakambondiitisa and Zvinopera.

He also released more singles in 2022 such as Muri Mwari, Tese Tine Basa, Maindiseka and the soulful, Munodzigadzirisa.

He sings gospel music laced with social commentary.

In the near future, he aims to spread his brand further by holding live shows across the country.
