FOUR siblings are up in arms with their 92-year-old father whom they are accusing of harbouring snakes at his Zimunya residence which he allegedly uses to bewitch, bed and kill them.
The Musiyarira siblings are accusing their father of possessing goblins in the form of snakes, saying these creatures are also causing their marriages to fail.
They claim that inside Sekuru Denford Musiyarira’s house is a spear and a pot filled with blood.
Since 2001, the family has allegedly been experiencing two deaths every year due to the blood thirsty goblins.
Netsai Musiyarira
Caroline, Sandra, Portia and Theodora Musiyarira recently teamed up with other family members to besiege the Zimunya home and demand answers from the nonagenarian, Sekuru Musiyarira.
Sekuru Musiyarira’s granddaughter, Netsai, was also among the rabble rousers.
The ladies demanded an immediate solution to the family problems.
Sekuru Musiyarira and his wife, Gogo Tambudzai Musiyarira, had to lock themselves up inside the house.
The Musiyarira girls claimed that they were in possession of a letter that was allegedly written by the old man in 2003 at a traditional healer’s shrine.

In the letter, Sekuru Musiyarira allegedly curses his daughters.
The Weekender is in possession of the letter that is inscribed: “Caroline, Togara, Sandra, Dettoleen, Portia, Moddie Makosi, kurambana newarume wawo, kurambana nemukadzi wake, kuputsika kwemusha wawo, wese wagare wachishupika, wari pamabasa ngavabude iko zvino.(Caroline, Togara, Sandra, Dettoleen, Portia, Moddie Makosi’s marriages should fail. They should suffer, those employed should be fired immediately.)”
The letter was allegedly retrieved from a termites’ hole and Togara and Dettoleen’s names had been eaten by termites.
The two are already dead.
“This means he is the one who caused their deaths. Had we not discovered the letter, my siblings would all be dead by now because the moment the termites eat where one’s name is written, they die.

“At first, he confessed to all this after the letter surfaced from his traditional healer, but he has since shifted goalposts. My father is very wicked. Since 2001, I have lost most of my siblings and relatives, at least two people die every year,” said Musiyarira’s youngest daughter, Theodora.
The scuffle has resulted in an assault case being opened against Theodora.
A protection order application has also been made at the Mutare Civil Courts.
However, Theodora is yet to appear in court.
In an interview with The Weekender, Netsai said in her dreams, a snake beds her.
“At times while sleeping with my fiancé, I dream of a snake coming in between us. After that, my fiancé refuses to cuddle me,” she said.
She said the prophets she consulted told her that her grandfather is behind this.
Netsai also claims that her chances to get married have been blown away on four occasions due to this.
“I have eloped to four different men, but the marriages were short-lived. Trouble would start when my fiancé contacted my family with plans to pay lobola. The goblins would manifest on me and I would have seizures. I would manifest that I am already someone’s wife. This happened on four occasions,” she said.
Theodora said they usually see snakes roaming around her parents’ house.
She said at one time, a three-metre long snake was captured by ZimParks officials at the house.
She said in February, another snake terrorised them at the house.
“Two weeks later, I discovered a snake under my bed. I could not continue using the room. This was after I had returned home after my marriage had failed. I later discovered that I was bedding a snake, hence the failure of my marriage,” she said.
Theodora Musiyarira
She claimed that her parents leave prepared meals in trays in the kitchen, with the meals disappearing overnight.
She also said the family’s cats always enjoy meat, while they have to eat sadza and vegetables.
Theodora also claims that she saw her father talking to a short and dark man who was demanding more blood from him.
“I was hiding and could not bring out my phone to capture a video, but my father asked the short man to wait for a short while as he was planning something.
“As a family, we confronted our father and he confessed that he had sacrificed our happiness for wealth through the blood sucking goblins. He has since shifted goal posts,” said Theodora.
Contacted for comment, Sekuru Musiyarira said he does not entertain rumours.
“I do not entertain lunatics, they are crazy. They assaulted me and I have made a police report against them, especially Theodora, the ringleader. I cannot talk to you as this will jeopardise police investigations. This is the second time for Theodora to assault me.
“She has another pending case at the criminal court. I have also made a civil application against her. I will inform you of the court dates when my son returns from consulting our lawyers over this mater,” he said.
