NETWORK connectivity in Chikukwa and surrounding areas of Chimanimani District is set to improve as service provider NetOne is working on installing a signal booster in the locale.
This follows the extensive damage to infrastructure during the devastating tropical Cyclone Idai in 2019.
Chimanimani East constituency Member of Parliament Honourable Joshua Sacco applauded the network service provider for the gesture, saying this will benefit the area with clear network connectivity. This is important in bridging the digital divide and also driving the area towards a digital economy that has access to improved Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure, he added.
Hon Sacco said the installation of the signal booster is expected to be completed soon.
Chikukwa had been experiencing poor network connectivity since Cyclone Idai struck.
