ZIMBABWEANS in South Africa have been urged to remain peaceful and desist from partaking in violent protests that have resulted in sporadic looting at shops in South Africa as this is criminal and will tarnish their home country’s image.
International Cross Border Traders Association president Denis Juru said Zimbabweans in the neighbouring country should be exemplary of the peace that prevails back home.
Not only is being involved in the violent demonstrations illegal, he added, but it will also negatively affect the cordial relations Zimbabwe and South Africa enjoy.
President Mnangagwa recently expressed his wish for the disturbances to be resolved as soon as possible to ensure continued peace and stability in the region.
