A PART from preserving the little that remains of our moral fabric in society, Yours Truly is also the voice for the voiceless, lest some of you never knew.
This is the reason Blabber was taken aback, angry rather, when news of a very corrupt and promiscuous senior police officer hit my eardrums.
While other senior officers are in charge of their stations, this one is a rare specie and for the sake of our dear junior officers and innocent families in this area, Blabber will not be silent.
You see, being a law abiding citizen that Yours Truly has always been, Blabber respects law enforcement agents and always holds them in high esteem but alas not this one rogue element.
He is the most senior cop at this other station located in the second phase of a well known high-density suburb named after a yesteryear traditional leader.
Word reaching Yours Truly is that the feared senior officer is terrorising junior officers at this station, giving them duties outside their key result areas, including being driven to hunt for married women in the same suburb.
In fact, Blabber has it on good authority that he had the tenacity to regularly go between the sheets with the wife of one of his junior officers. God forbid!
As Yours Truly pens this piece, this moron is actually having quality time with two other married women working at two different, yet popular grocery shops in the high-density suburb.
Thick-headed as ever, whenever he is broke, the bare skinned officer is in the habit of accompanying traffic officers at his station to some roadblocks and holds the ticket book by himself as he ensures he gets the lion’s share of the loot.
That he is always broke is not a question, no wonder he has since turned himself into a traffic officer even when heavy rains pound mother earth.
Blabber is in possession of damning evidence of how this fool has been begging for bribes mainly from bar owners in the area and at the same time sends junior officers to close their outlets as he struggles to balance between duty and corrupt tendencies.
Blabber also understands that there is a pending disciplinary case of abuse of office that he is facing and Yours Truly hopes that justice will not be delayed.
Even though I might decide to rest my case here, I am not yet done with this bad apple in our beloved force and chances are that Yours Truly might name and shame him after his acts of sexual harassment and abuse of office while dealing with a night club stripper his officers had arrested at a local pub recently.
