UNHAPPY with his wife’s promiscuous ways, coupled with threats and physical abuse, a bitter Chikanga man has dragged his spouse to court seeking a way out of his predicament.

Nervous Mudahondo told Mutare magistrate, Mr Xavier Chipato, that his wife, Stephanie Munatsa has turned into a monster in their home.

She even takes it out on the visitors, he claimed.

The couple is now living separately.

“Munatsa is my wife, but is in the habit of disturbing peace around the home, and harasses my daughter from another marriage whenever she visits.

“She even brings different men to our matrimonial home, boasting that she can act as she pleases,” lamented Mudahondo.

Their relationship has turned sour, claimed Mudahondo, that Munatsa even approached his sister, and told her she no longer loved him, and was moving out.

Mudahondo begged the court to bar Munatsa from visiting his house, threatening and assaulting him as well as disturbing his visitors’ peace.

However, his wife had a different story to tell.

She said that her husband had actually chucked her out of their matrimonial home.

“He chased me away, saying I did not own a house.”

“I have never disturbed his visitors’ peace, but only asked him to consult me first before bringing his grandchildren over for the holidays.

“We face water challenges at our place, yet he brought his five grandchildren, two of whom still need their mother’s care without consulting me,” said Munatsa.

She accused her husband of abusing her.

Added Munatsa: “He was in the habit of forcing me to be intimate with him without using protection, yet he knows he is HIV positive. Sometimes I fear for my life because he threatens me with death, and can get away with it as he is war veteran.”
She begged the court to assist her in getting back to their matrimonial home.

The court heard that Mudahondo has since taken in another wife at their matrimonial home.

Mr Chipato granted the protection order against Munatsa.
