BELEAGURED opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader, Mr Nelson Chamisa, has abruptly left the troubled political outfit.
Mr Chamisa announced his sudden divorce with the opposition party in a statement this afternoon.
However, the embattled politician did not spell out his next move, only hinting that he will “remain in public service.”
“This is to officially, and under my hand, inform you fellow citizens of Zimbabwe and the world, that, with immediate effect, I no longer have anything to do with CCC.
“There are fresh things we need to do. Fellow citizens, you will be kept posted on the next step,” said Mr Chamisa in the statement.
Woes have been mounting for CCC since its formation two years ago, with the party lurching from one crisis to another.
The party and it’s leader’s defeat to the ruling Zanu PF in the August 2023 harmonised elections came as no surprise as things continued falling apart for Mr Chamisa and his cabal.
