Valley Lodges, Hauna

MUTARE’S fine gospel musicians, Dorcas Moyo, Mai Makoni, Caroline Chidzikwe, Pastor Ellen Anderson, Cloris Machuwaire and Terrance Dzatsata will perform on one turf for the first time on New Year’s eve at the plush joint located in Hauna, Honde Valley.

 

Dubbed “Valley Gospel Explosion”, the event starts at 12-noon and ends at 6pm.

 

Admission is US$5 for adults and US$3 for kids.

 

Other activities slated for the event include jumping castle, braai and snacks.

Club Mandisa

The popular entertainment joint hosts sungura artiste, Tatenda Pinjisi tonight (Friday) and tomorrow in a potentially-intriguing gig.

The “Saina” hit-maker will perform two full shows as the main act.

And back by public demand, pole dancer, Zoey, who left fans clamouring for more at the joint recently is back and will carry revellers into the New Year.

 

Local deejays, led by Lampy will provide entertainment this weekend till January 1.

The Platinum

Arguably, Zimbabwe’s most consistent artiste this year, Holy 10, descends on Mutare for the first time at the spacious venue for a performance on New Year’s eve.

The dreadlocked musician, popular among youths is expected to set the roof on fire with sing-along hits such as, “Pressure”, “Ucharamba uchipisa”, “Mai Ju” and “Delilah”.

 

The show starts at 8pm.

Madziro Bar

Veteran wheel spinner, Candyman, The RetroDon will entertain fun lovers who include families at the spacious joint situated 7km along Mutare-Masvingo Highway.

He will perform on Saturday till January 1, 2024. Activities such as jumping castle, braai and face painting will form part of the New Year shutdown activities.

Chitsa Bar and Liquids/Dhunza Night Club

Two most popular entertainment joints in Dangamvura, Chitsa Bar and Liquids and Dhunza Night Club join hands to host the second edition of the Boka Shutdown gig on New Year’s eve.

The two clubs’ deejays, including guest wheelspinners and surprise acts, will take turns to entertain hundreds of people expected to throng the event.

The shutdown will be held at the two clubs’ open arena. Braai and complementary snack such as offals will be available for patrons to enjoy.

The event starts at 6pm till 7am on New Year’s Day. Last year, the event drew scores of people from across Mutare.

MiCasa

Live performances and disc jockeying delight characterise the last weekend of the year at the upmarket joint, starting tonight (Friday).

DJs Frazer and Terminator will perform tonight and tomorrow, while Afro-jazz sensations, WaCharie and Expressions Band will take turns to entertain patrons till New Year’s Day.
