SEVENTEEN-year-old Marange High School student has defied the odds to score 11A’s and 2B’s during the 2019 ZIMSEC Ordinary Level examinations.

The whizkid — Sharon Chindudzi – was one of the top performers at the United Methodist-run Marange High School in Bocha.

She registered 13 subjects and prevailed with flying symbols.

She scored A’s in English, Mathematics, Geography, Shona, Physics, Physical Education, Combined Sciences, Foods, Agriculture, History and two B’s in Biology and Chemistry.

She has already set her mind on A-Level where she intends to study four subjects.

“I have already been enrolled at First Class Academy in Fern Valley for my Advanced Level, and they granted my wish to study Sciences.

I will be studying four subjects which are Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science.

“It has always been my desire to study sciences because when I grow up I want to be in the engineering sector, especially chemical engineering,” said the elated girl.

Sharon confessed facing challenges during her studies at Marange High.

Power and water were common challenges at the school.

“When you are given the resources, you have to utilise them and work hard in everything you do regardless of the situation. I wish all the 2020 candidates the best in the academic endeavours,” added Sharon.
