Following an altercation with her husband last week, a Dangamvura woman went on to sell his car to ‘fix’ him.
However, when Happy Samukambune appeared before Mutare magistrate, Ms Audrey Muzhingi last Thursday, she denied the charge.
Mr Chris Munyuki represented the State.
He said on September 18, Tonderai Simukambune was informed by his friend that his vehicle was being sold at a Mutare garage after his wife had initiated the sale.
“When Tonderai rushed to the car sale, the car had already been bought and his wife had pocketed US$2 800.
“The couple had another argument at the car sale, thereby prompting Tonderai to make a police report. Happy was subsequently arrested,” said Mr Munyuki.
Happy was remanded out of custody to October 28 on $4 000 bail.
