A RUSAPE-BASED man who was having an affair with a married woman was caught red-handed by the woman’s husband and is now facing $3 million adultery damages.
Farai Chiwende of Mayo Police Station who was deployed at Nyamusosa Base is alleged to have been dating Prisca Bokosha, a nurse aide at Nyamusosa Clinic, for several months.
Bokosha is married to Christopher Ziyera.
Chiwende and Bokosha would take advantage of Ziyera’s prolonged absence to spend quality time together.
However, all hell broke loose after Bokosha’s colleagues tipped Ziyera of what was happening behind his back.
They assisted Ziyera to set up a trap in an effort to expose the illicit affair.
After catching the two lovebirds in the act, Ziyera claimes Chiwende destroyed his marriage of 20 years and is seeking $3 million as compensation.
Although he is not demanding anything from his wife, he also listed her as a respondent and by the time of going to print, both Chiwende and Bokosha were yet to file their opposing papers.
The case will be heard at the Rusape Civil Courts on April 6th.
“The first respondent is Farai Chiwende, a policeman based at Mayo Police Station while the second respondent is Prisca Bokosha who is amy wife employed at Nyamusosa Clinic as a nurse aide. I married Prisca in 2002 and wedded her in 2019 under Chapter 5.11 and we are blessed with two children,” read Ziyera’s papers.
“On February 27, 2022, I received a call from Prisca’s workmate who informed me that my wife was in a love affair with Chiwende. My informant advised me to come during the night so that I could trap the two. I was at work in Mutare when I received the tip-off,” said Ziyera.
“During that night, I left my car at Nyamusosa Primary School and proceeded to my wife’s house on foot. As I knocked on the door, I discovered that there were two people inside. I then broke the window and opened the curtain to look inside the room. I saw Chiwende and my wife. Chiwende hurriedly put on a track bottom, opened the window and tried to escape, but I caught him,” said the heartbroken man.
“We had a scuffle as he tried to grab my private parts. We fought but Chiwende later bolted into the darkness, with Prisca also disappeared into the darkness. I went back to my car and slept there.
“The following day I went back to my wife’s place of residence but she was not there. I also checked for Chiwende at his house, but he was nowhere to be found. I proceeded to Mayo Police Station to file my complaint against Chiwende.
“In view of the above, I want $3 000 000 adultery damages from Chiwende and he should bear the cost of the suit,” stated Ziyera in his application.
