ZANU PF Manicaland province has hailed President Mnangagwa’s servant leadership as he has managed to unite the nation to rally behind the fight against Covid-19 as well as mobilising resources to equip hospitals and isolation centres.

In its resolution during a provincial co-ordination meeting held in Mutare recently, the province said, “In the war against Covid-19, you (President Mnangagwa) have demonstrated the practicability and applicability of what it means to be a servant leader.

“You have united the whole nation to rally behind the fight against Covid-19 and mobilised resources to equip our hospitals and isolation centres.

As a result of the effectiveness of your communication; individuals, groups and organisations have overwhelmingly responded to your appeal by donating medical equipment, medicines, sanitisers, building materials and a variety of items to be used in the fight against Covid-19. To cap it all, you have effectively conscientised the nation about the dangers of Covid-19.”

The resolution further reads: “As leaders at our level, your leadership model which personifies humanity, goodness and servanthood, has humbled, educated, inspired, motivated and empowered us to lead, mobilise and direct our people; not only to fight Covid-19, but also for the successful achievement of Vision 2030.”

The province also threw its weight behind President Mnangagwa’s leadership and policies.

“We take this opportunity to sincerely assure you that we stand by your leadership and policies no matter the circumstances.

“It is noted that there are individuals and groups led by Mr Nelson Chamisa’s MDC-A that are bent not only on destabilising the country by organising demonstrations and acts of sabotage, but also on overthrowing the legitimately elected Government of Zimbabwe.

“We unreservedly condemn such acts and solidly support your actions to ensure that the country remains stable, peaceful and is not diverted from its focus on development,” reads the resolution.
