Why lie? His story inspires Towntalk with Blabbermouth

The ManicaPost

HELLO gentle readers.
Yours Truly is writing this week’s instalment with a heavy heart.
All along Blabber thought that sources who were feeding him with the juicy pieces you were feasting on weekly were genuine as is the intention of this column.

When Blabber started this column some decades ago, the thrust of the whole project was to expose the bad things that are happening in society without necessarily naming and shaming the culprits.

The idea was to help society see the ills that are playing out in the community and at the same time proffer remedies to some of the vices.

For the record, Blabber is not out there to just hit people below the belt where it hurts most but to make them see the light and help them change their behaviour for the better. Yours Truly does not turn a blind eye to bad behaviour.
The Bible says that though we have the right to judge bad behaviour, Christ demands that we do so lovingly keeping in mind the target of our criticism is a child of God and is indeed well-loved by the same Creator who made you and Blabber.

While Blabber has good intentions in bringing out the evil men (and women) do his idea is being threatened by some people who want to hijack the same in order to pursue their personal vendettas.

Yours Truly has vast sources who come forward with intricate details of what is happening in our society and, in most cases, the stories told are true. Blabber always does verifications before going to print to ascertain the authenticity of some claims but, somehow, Yours Truly was sold yet another dummy last week.

Blabber was literally dragged into some personal fights and hate game. Little did Blabber know that the good dude, who was the subject of discussion in last week’s instalment, was a target of the hate game that is rampant on the streets.
Yours Truly later realised that the young businessman, popularly known as King Lusha, has come a long way to be where he is today.

His story is that of rags to riches narrative, which every youth in the ghetto must hear for it will inspire many.
Instead of writing about his growing business, which he is managing well, Blabber was made to turn a blind eye to the good deeds and dwell on petty functional misdeeds.
His haters were clever enough to distort his journey to prosperity and gave a shocking narrative of how he is making his fortune, painting a gloomy picture of deceit and banditry.

It is bad to lie about the next person for it is written so in the Holy Book. Some societies are developing fast because their citizens cherish their own sons and daughters who have made it in life.
This backstabbing and hate game must stop.
Anyway as they say it in vernacular “Ane bhora ndiye anomakwa” or alternatively “Mango yaibva ndoinotemwa”.
