ZIM DANCEHALL chanter, Killer T, storms Mutare for a potentially-intriguing gig at the spacious venue tomorrow (Saturday).
Organisers of the event said he will perform with a live band in the burn-outs arena. Upcoming deejays will warm the stage from 5pm before the ‘Haakete’ singer jumps on stage at 9pm.
The musician is expected to belt out old and newly-released songs that have made him a household name, including ‘Maisafanira kundirega’, ‘Dai zvaibvira’, ‘Takangodaro’, ‘Hondo’ and ‘Ndamuda’.
Club Mandisa
Heir to Barura music throne, Tendai Dembo, descends on Mutare for a much-anticipated show tonight (Friday).
The event promises to be a thriller as Barura music legend and the late Leonard Dembo’s right hand man, Innocent Mjintu, will also be part of the show as a guitarist and rhythmist.
Local dance group, Diamond Kings and Queens will be the curtain raisers.
Cannibal Inn
South African-based singer, Nox Guni, takes his national tour to Mutare when he performs at Cannibal Inn Leisure Centre tonight (Friday).
The venue is situated 10 kilometres along Mutare-Chimanimani Highway. Nox, who boasts of a rich discography with songs such as ‘Unobvuma Here’, ‘My Melody’, ‘Kana Ndinewe’ and ‘Ndinonyara’ is expected to perform at 9pm till the last man drops.
Diamond FM deejay, Lampy, will entertain revellers on the turntables.
Pedu Paye (Odzi)
The leisure centre situated adjacent to a tourism marvel, Osborne Dam, will host versatile wheel spinner, DJ Lanto.
The watering home, popularly known as the heart of Odzi, has become popular for private events, parties and gigs.
It caters for all age groups as it has an executive bar, butchery and braai facilities.
Sun City (Bako)
The sought-after versatile ensemble, Bako Band, which can play most sungura and jazz songs, is back at their favourite fortress as they perform tomorrow.
The band will play renditions at their home ground over this weekend.
MiCasa
The upmarket entertainment joint will tonight and tomorrow host Karaoke nights with deejays Kartel, Terminator and Frazer taking turns to lead the entertainment nights.
Sumptuous traditional foods will also be served at the venue as imbibers are treated to classic music.
Morejoy Bottle Store
DJ Lion will tomorrow entertain imbibers and fun lovers at an open air entertainment joint situated in Dora communal lands.
The sleepy rural area will also see local dance ensemble Diamond Kings and Queens entertaining revellers.
Revellers of all ages will also be treated to some sumptuous gango and braai.
