AFTER-SOUGHT South Africa-based gospel artiste, Takesure ‘Zamar’ Ncube headlines the much-awaited Mutare Worship Night to be held at the spacious venue today (Friday) until dawn on Saturday.
The award-winning producer, songwriter, instrumentalist will be backed by gospel musicians drawn from across the country, among them Pastor Josh Kayz, Blessing Jeduthun, Minister Ellard and Sharon Cherayi, Kuda Mandizvidza, Nyasha Mutonhori, Pastor Tinashe Murigo, Wenyasha Chingono and Gospel DJ Unlocked.
Zama said he is delighted to perform in Mutare.
“It is a great initiative as gospel musicians from around the country descend on Mutare and have this special night. We are aware that most people in the city may have difficulties in accessing us, but we decided to avail ourselves.
“We are urging people to come in their numbers and worship. It is always good to worship together and we are aware that people are going through a lot in life, but one will not go back home the same again. It is our duty and assignment to cheer people,” he said.
Some of Zamah’s soulful and popular songs include ‘Agere Pachigaro’, ‘Prayer for Zimbabwe’, ‘Nyasha Pamusoro Penyasha’ and ‘Kuregera’.
