Dear Tete
I am a 17-year-old boy doing Form Four at a mission school. I am quite intelligent and equally well behaved. My only problem is that I have begun stealing from my friends and teachers to survive. My father is an alcoholic and my mother is just a civil servant trying to make ends me for us all. Most of the times I do not have enough stationery, uniforms or provisions to see me through the term and I feel bad. I need to survive and asking for help has resulted in some students laughing at me. Some even brag about their wealth, so I prefer stealing.

Your story is sad my dear, but unfortunately, stealing is stealing. When you are caught, no one will care why you did it. This is a habit you must stop immediately before you become a habitual thief. You will always find a reason to steal in future if it becomes embedded in you. If you have nothing, God will provide for you, but first repent. Do not take from others what they would have budgeted for and let those who laugh now enjoy, but you will laugh longer. Keep studying hard and become something brighter than your journey.
