BURNOUTS enthusiasts in Mutare will be in for a treat when a collection of renowned wheel spinners descend at Manicaland Motoring Club on New Year’s eve tomorrow (Saturday).

The event starts at 12pm and runs late into the night.

Host, Clyde ‘CJ’ Jani of C Jay Motors, said all is set for the potentially exhilarating event, with spinners from Harare, Bulawayo, Karoi and a guest spinner from Mozambique having confirmed their participation.

“We are excited to be hosting the burnouts event at Manicaland Motoring Club on New Year’s eve where we will have spinners from Harare, Bulawayo and a guest spinner from Mozambique.

“Each time we have the event it has been a full house and this one should be no exception. In fact, we expect it to be explosive, given that attendees will also be celebrating the gist of life as we get into 2023,” he said.

Mutare’s Team No Lose, Team AK 47 from Bulawayo, Harare-based trio of Team Ice Motors, Team Captain Powers and Team Masgee as well as Team Good of Karoi are expected to keep spectators on the edge of their seats.

Guest spinner, Gibson from neighbouring Mozambique will also be there to prove his mettle.

Apart from the usual burnouts entertainment, attendees will also be treated to live band music with Joseph Makureya and his Sunrise entourage on stage, while disc jockeys, Hollies B, Jonzo Vijimalo and Silva V will be taking turns on the turntables.

Jani said: “We have made plans to ensure that there will be tight security as people enjoy themselves into the New Year. US$10 will be charged for admission, while US$20 is the entrance fee for the VIP section.”
