FAST rising Afro contemporary singer, Brian Svasvinu, fondly known as Manicaland Prince, descends on Mutare this weekend for a double-date.
He will perform at the entertainment joint situated at the city tonight (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday).
Backed by the Ocean Waves Band, the talented bassist is expected to thrill fans with an avalanche of cover songs as well as his own compositions.
The gigs start at 8pm. Resident deejays, led by Lampy and Mshez will entertain patrons during the weekend, starting today, while strip teasers will mesmerise revellers in the VIP section.
Chikanga 1 Beer Tavern
A galaxy of local artistes, mainly Zim-dancehall, will tomorrow (Saturday) gather at the spacious venue to celebrate local chanter, Mega Compression’s birthday.
The birthday bash is headlined by award-winning singer, Caff, Mad Viper, Uncle Yutman and Sherphadize, King Bling, Yellowman and many others. Other activities lined up for the day include music, braai, horse riding and jumping castles.
The event starts at 11am till the last man drops. Mega Expression is also expected to perform at the bash.
Chitsa Bar and VIP
Dangamvura’s sought after watering hole will this Sunday host mbira group, DezeRawasu in a potentially-explosive gig.
Deze raWasu
The group which has been recognised globally for their sterling contribution to the arts sector will perform at the venue for the second time this year.
The show starts at 4pm. Resident DJs, Spillz and Wizzy will provide entertainment during the whole weekend.
Montclair Hotel and Casino
Celebrated Nyanga-based DJs will entertain stay-in and walk-in guests at the tourism and accommodation facility situated in the picturesque Juliasdale.
Caff
Popularly known as the Happy Hour, the versatile DJs will tonight and tomorrow dishes out a mixed bag of old and new school music, while patrons enjoy booze and snacks as well as casino games.
Micasa Su Casa
Versatile wheel spinners, Terminator and Frazer will entertain patrons with a mixed bag of music this weekend, starting tonight (Friday).
Terminator will take fans down the memory lane with some touching classics, while Frazer is expected to send revellers into delirium with some new school beats.
Steve Chikotie headlines the Sunday night jazz session.
Patrons will enjoy assorted beer as well as traditional foods, courtesy of Micasa.

Veteran deejay, Candyman ‘The Retrodon’, will entertain fun lovers of all ages at the open air watering hole situated a few kilometres along Mutare-Chimanimani Highway.
The spacious joint this and other weekends hosts scores of fun lovers who fancy old and new school music as well as sumptuous meat while mixing and mingling at a refreshing open air.
