Dear Tete
I am in big trouble and I have no idea how I will get out of this mess. My in-laws live outside the country while we live in Zimbabwe. My father-in-law entrusted his properties to me for them to be well maintained. I have been keeping them well for many years, but last year I messed up. I needed a huge amount of money to embark on a lucrative business venture. I sold one undeveloped stand, but unfortunately the guy disappeared with the money. I have not yet told my wife or my in-laws. I am failing to raise the money. Help me please!

You made a bad decision and a bad move, but life must go on. Difficult as it may be, you must open up to your wife and her parents. There is a reason why they chose you and not any other relation to take up the task. Talk to them, explain your actions and apologise. Honesty is a good thing and the truth will set you free. Your friend was a bad person to leave you in such a mess. Report the matter for reference. Your family will need to know that you are not fabricating a story after you recklessly spent their money.
