CITY of Mutare has begun its search for a new Town Clerk to replace the late Mr Joshua Maligwa who died early this year.

Since Mr Maligwa’s death, Dr Antony Mutara, the City Of Mutare health director, has been the local authority’s chief executive on an acting basis.

The late Mr Maligwa landed the Town Clerk post in 2017, replacing Mr Obert Muzawazi, who had resigned following a string of corruption allegations.

According to an advert flighted in a weekly newspaper, applications for the local authority’s top office are being invited.

“If you are interested and posses the above qualifications and are Zimbabwean with high degree of initiative and visionary approach to change management then submit an application with 10 (ten) certified copies of academic and professional certificates and their detailed CVs to His Worship, The Mayor, City of Mutare,” reads part of the advert in The Sunday Mail job section.
