BUSINESS-MINDED churches have been urged to take advantage of the comparative opportunities in Manicaland and invest towards its economic growth and development, Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Advocate Misheck Mugadza has said.

Speaking during a business seminar co-hosted by The Manica Post and Eagle Vision Church last Friday, Minister Mugadza said the province has potential for economic growth.

“Manicaland is open for business and we need a lot of investors. The province presents ample opportunities for business ventures, and as business-oriented churches, you should seize these prospects and contribute to its development. We are ready to welcome Christian businesses because we know that a business which is operated in a Christian-based environment will ensure that the province’s economy will be grown effectively and efficiently in transparency,” he said.

Minister Mugadza said Government is ready to assist Christian entrepreneurs in all aspects.

“Government has adjusted the whole of Government approach to build the economy and societal approach for development, and it has been assisting and welcoming individuals as well as companies that would like to invest in the nation. As a result, there is also need for churches to introduce the whole of Christian approach where all churches come as one, as we all attempt to achieve Vision 2030. In this regard, our churches in the province have a pivotal role in the development of Manicaland and nation at large,” he said.

The seminar, which attracted a significant turnout, saw Christian leaders in business and key stakeholders deliberating on business strategies and economic prospects in the Christian way.

Minister Mugadza said such meetings are of paramount importance to the province as they guide Christian entrepreneurs with business principles that ensure stability and sustainability.

The founder of Eagle Vision Church, Apostle Wilson Katumba said Christian entrepreneurs are committed to help in growing the province’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

“We are deeply devoted to leveraging our talents and resources to contribute to the economic growth of our province. Our goal is, not just to succeed individually, but to uplift our entire community by driving forward its development. We envision our province, not just keeping pace with others, but leading the way as a beacon of prosperity and progress for the entire nation,” he said.

Dr Francis Myles, a renowned Zambian author, speaker and influential figure based in the United States of America, delivered the keynote address, sharing his profound insights on mastering money with his seven key strategies.

He encouraged entrepreneurs to cultivate a deep sense of trust in divine providence and to embrace a mindset of abundance rooted in faith as they venture into investments.

“You should adopt a mindset of abundance, rooted in faith because faith-based principles are important in guiding business decisions. By aligning your actions with spiritual values, you cannot only contribute to the economic development of Manicaland, but also foster a sense of prosperity and well-being within the community,” he said.

Dr Myles said achieving mastery over money begins with a deep understanding of its nature and significance.

He also said by envisioning success and abundance, individuals can manifest their desires into reality.

“There is a transformative power in meditative visualisation, practice visualising your financial goals and aspirations. If you can see it, you can get it. Furthermore, you should be able to craft a compelling vision that serves as a magnet for wealth and prosperity. By articulating clear and compelling goals, you can align your actions and intentions with your financial objectives, thereby attracting abundance into your life,” he said.

Dr Myles said central to his teachings is the concept of building trust equity and wholeheartedly committing to the principles of the kingdom of God.
