FRESH from scoring his second goal of the season, Triangle striker Nyasha Tito Chintuli has set his sights on finding the target more regularly in order to further develop his game.

The ex-Tenax striker recently registered his name on the score sheet to help the Sugar Sugar Boys secure a sweet 2-1 victory over TelOne, their fourth in five matches.

And as he continues to hone his skills in front of goal, the gifted gunslinger who was the Zifa Eastern Region Division One 2018 Soccer Star of the Year, is targeting to plunder plenty this top-flight term.

“So far the Premiership journey has been a good and worthwhile experience. I have since set myself a target of reaching the 15-goal mark this season and trust it will be rewarding at the end. My last strike had come in our 1-0 win away to Highlanders in April and scoring against TelOne shows that I am taking the right direction but have to be more consistent in front of goal. This means that I need to train extra hard because of the tactical and technical demands of the sport at this level of the competition.  “My game is still evolving and I hope to get sharper during my stay here. Things are falling into place, while I am also getting into shape. My career presently feels at the right moment of its growth,” said the fledgling forward and LaSakubva juniors product.

With more match involvement, he added, his game can hit the heights his potential promises.  “The game time I continue receiving is vital in taking me to the next level of my career. So far I have enjoyed eight starts and came off the bench in five games. I am grateful for this opportunity, to get a run in the domestic game’s elite league with a top team like Triangle. This club has been good to me and I am highly appreciative to the coaches as well as the rest of my teammates for their support and encouragement,” the Triangle Number 33, who has so far made 13 appearances for the Lowveld side, enthused.

The Chibuku Super Cup holders are eyeing to defend their title this term in order to compete in Africa again and the talented marksman Chintuli is eager to play a part in that success story.

Also pushing to challenge for the championship, Triangle are perched sixth on 22 points; nine behind leaders FC Platinum.
