BLABBERMOUTH: Did it have to be this early? Towntalk with Blabbermouth

The ManicaPost

IN one of William Shakespeare’s masterpiece, the protagonist, Hamlet was so angry at his mother that he said, in a soliloquy; “Frailty, thy name is woman.”

Hamlet was angry at his mother for marrying shortly after his father’s death.

He saw her as weak.

In that context, Hamlet generalised the weakness he saw in his mother to women in general.

He saw her as morally weak because she had “betrayed” her husband by marrying his brother, Claudius, just one month after his death.

Behold, our beautiful city has its own version of Hamlet’s mother, or better still, a worse off character.

The remains of that other young man who recently died in a horrendous car crash in the central business district have barely decomposed.

Yes, the one who left us in shock and pain after he breathed his last in the dead of the night while drunk and in the company of a girlfriend who survived the accident.

Word reaching Yours Truly is that the widowed wife has already move on when we all expected her to be mourning her departed husband.

Blabber will not be judgemental, but in all fairness, her conduct has left Yours Truly wondering whether she has instantly turned into a party animal or she has always been like that, only making sure we did not know.

This is the sad reality of the cultural bastardisation that we have gone through as a society.

Our partners will only have us on their digital profiles a week or two after our deaths and after that, nobody will stop reggae.

But what makes our dear departed brother’s wife’s case worse off is that she is hoping from one watering hall to the other, using and abusing intoxicating substances with different male partners who are feasting on what the deceased left behind.
Yours Truly is reminded that this world is surely not our home!

By the way, Blabber is shocked to learn that some well-respected men and women are visiting this other local nature sanctuary to quench their sexual appetite under the lush green and serene environment that the place offers.

While I thought domestic tourism is on the increase, judging by the numbers of visitors to our beautiful tourism products, I have discovered that these couples are not visiting this particular site to see wild animals, but to unleash the animals in them!

God forbid!
