WHAT is this that we hear about a juicy rags-to-riches and then back to rags fairytale involving none other than this other unrepentant pint-sized diamond dealer?
The sad part of the story is that Blabber thought he should have learnt from his impoverished upbringing, but it appears he learnt nothing at all.
We all know that he did not have anything to his name as the poor chap depended largely on close relatives for a decent meal while growing up.
Fortune then knocked on his door, thanks to the Chiadzwa diamond rush!
Dear reader, he is one of those who made a fortune out of illegal diamond deals and at one point he owned a house in one of our beautiful city’s leafy suburbs.
Blabber will not talk about vehicles because he once had a fleet when he was on top of his game.
He even had money to waste back then as he hired dancing groups, some of which came all the way from that other city that never sleeps to get a feel of our picturesque environment while staying at his house.
But, word reaching Yours Truly is that the boy is now broke and all that is left are memories of how he used to make it rain.
Blabber is reliably informed that even that single car which had been left was grabbed from him after he lost in a gambling excursion in that other world class mountainous resort area not so far away from our beautiful city.
His addiction to gambling as well as his weakness for sweetness was his downfall.
Who knows, water will never forget where it once flowed, maybe he will be lucky to find his touch once again.
Blabber does not wish ill fortune on anyone, the desire to have responsible citizens is what Yours Truly is mainly concerned about.
This is why Blabber is happy that this other married woman who was working in a bar and cheating on her husband recently changed her ways and is back at her matrimonial home.
I mean the lady we once blabbered about a few weeks back who used to work in this other watering hole whose name has something to do with our country code.
Blabber is informed that she has stopped working in that beer outlet and will soon start her duties in a more formal environment that is suitable for a married woman.
Blabber hopes that she will now give due respect to her family and husband and stop the animalistic way of doing things she had been deeply engrossed into.
After all, nothing more than the need to preserve the little that remains of our moral fabric keeps Yours Truly going.
