Club Mandisa

Yester-year jit legends, Bhundu Boys, who rocked the world in the 1980s and 90s and later crumbled following the death of their leader, Biggie Tembo, has been resuscitated, thanks to the latter’s son, Eriah Tembo.

Eriah, backed by the new look Bhundu Boys, will perform at Club Mandisa tonight (Friday) and tomorrow.

While Eriah has his own compositions such as ‘Dai Waiziva’ featuring Killer T; ‘Ndazomuwana’ featuring Roki and ‘Simukai Mutambe’ featuring Andy Muridzo, Eriah is expected to belt out his father’s popular hits such as ‘Babamunini Francis’, ‘Hupenyu Hwangu’, ‘Simbimbindo’ and the emotional ‘Wagayei’.

Dzonzai Night Club

Sungura ace, Alick Macheso takes his birthday celebrations to Chipinge where he will perform at the spacious venue situated in Gaza suburb tomorrow.

He will be supported by local deejays. Macheso will be in Chipinge for the second time after the release of his latest album, ‘Tinosvitswa Nashe’.

The organisers say the show which starts at 8pm till the last man drops.

Pamugodo

Situated in Rusape, the premier hospitality concern will this weekend host more than 10 social soccer teams from across Manicaland Province. The teams will clash in a Chidaz Memorial Tournament at various venues in the town. Selected deejays will entertain fun lovers at an after party where they will get an assortment of beverages and braai meat.

Micasa

DJ Frazer entertain revellers with new skool beats, while Terminator will entertain imbibers with old skool music this weekend.

The two will leave the stage for veteran jazz sensation, Steve Chikotie, who will serenade fans on Sunday while they enjoy traditional food courtesy of MiCasa.

Chitsa Bar

One of Mutare’s oldest mbira ensembles, NtswaiNtswai, whose prowess on traditional instruments are unmatched, will perform at the night club situated in Dangamvura on Sunday.

Dubbed mbira night, the ensemble will jump on stage at 4pm till late. Resident DJs Spillz, Wizzy and Yellow G will entertain fans on the turntables throughout the weekend.
