President Mnangagwa says Zimbabwe is now operating normally following the abandonement of the multicurrency system yesterday.
Addressing journalists in Victoria Falls this morning President Mnangagwa said Government has not banned the possession of foreign currency.
“Zimbabwe has gone back to normalcy. We have been living in an abnormal situation. We have removed a basket of currencies we had.
Our currency is denominated by coins and bond notes.
“We have not banned the possession of foreign currency. If you want to buy you can go to a bureau de change and get local currency,” he said.
President Mnangagwa said foreigners can use their visa cards to transact locally since nothing much has changed.
He said Government will continue to make pronouncements to inform people.
