A PANEL of the 2016 Castle Lager Premiership soccer stars of the year selection has successfully come up with the list of the best performing players from the just ended season.
The list, which was voted for by about 50 sports journalists, Premiership club coaches and their captains, saw champions CAPS United and runner ups FC Platinum dominating with three players on the calendar from each of the two teams.
CAPS United had Soccer Star of the Year favourite Leonard Tsipa, Hardlife Zvirekwi and Ronald Pfumbidzai on the list while goalkeeper Petros Mhari, Winston Mhango and Walter Musona came from the Zvishavane platinum miners.
The 2016 Soccer Star of the Year and his runner ups, the referee of the year as well as the most disciplined team will be announced on Friday at an end of year banquet to be held in the capital.
