HELL hath no fury like a scorned woman!

This aptly applies to a Mutare woman who allegedly fixed her hubby’s girlfriend by allegedly making her bleed for almost a month, thereby forcing the man to incur extra expenses by taking his lover to different sangomas and prophets for healing.

The husband is now complaining that he is no longer capable of supporting his first family because of the predicament his lover is in.

He said he is now using the money that was meant for his family’s support to pay for his girlfriend’s treatment.

This was revealed at the Mutare Civil Court where Tatenda Karwizi was applying for an upwards maintenance upwards from her estranged husband, Justine Mudziko.

Karwizi was applying for maintenance of US$300 for two children.

However, Mutare magistrate, Mr Xavier Chipato ruled that Mudziko should deposit US$120 into the complainant’s bank account.

Mudziko complained that ever since he left his matrimonial home, he has been having misfortunes as his new lover has been continuously bleeding and the root cause is his estranged wife.

“As much as I want to pay that ridiculous amount, I cannot. My girlfriend has been bleeding for almost a month now. We visited spiritual healers who confirmed that it was her (Karwizi) who was causing this.

“Besides that, she had threatened and cautioned my girlfriend that she was treading on dangerous grounds and shortly the bleeding started. She bewitched my girlfriend. The money I was supposed to give her for our children’s upkeep is the one I am using to try and save someone’s child before she loses a lot of blood and dies,” said Mudziko.

He said Karwizi was working tirelessly to destroy his new relationship by making him have a weak erection and back aches.

“My back is aching now. I cannot perform well in bed because she fixed me. I have weak erection and all this is eating into my finances. Where does she expect me to get the money, yet life is difficult for everyone in Zimbabwe,” said Mudziko.

He said he left his marriage after finding his wife with another man and she lied that he was just a customer.

Mudziko said he has been supporting his children, though not to his fullest potential because of the constant misfortunes that he has been facing ever since he left his wife for his girlfriend.

He added that he could only afford to pay US$40 for the upkeep of the two children, but Karwizi objected, saying the money was too little and would not sustain her and the children.

“What can US$40 buy? I have school fees to pay as the other child is going into Form One. There are more responsibilities now. I need to buy the child’s uniforms, pay his fees and feed him. Yes, we have our misunderstandings, but our children should be our first priority,” said Karwizi.

Karwizi also said Mudziko was lying that he was looking after his children as he has completely turned his back on them.

“He has been negligent towards his children of late. I am the one who is doing everything. As for the misfortunes he is talking about, I do not know anything. Yes, I once confronted his girlfriend, but I did not bewitch her,” she said.

Karwizi also said her estranged husband is making false allegations to run away from his responsibility of looking after the children as he is a gambler.

“He is a gambler. He just wants to spend all his money in gambling. This is one of the reasons why we would fight in our marriage. I used to sell fish and sausages at home and he would steal my money and used it to gamble,” said Karwizi.

She also said Mudziko accuses her of having extra marital affairs because he thinks that she behaves like him.

“He thinks every man who comes and knocks at my door is my boyfriend. I sell fish and people come and buy from my home. I can’t ignore my customers because that is my source of income,” she said.
