RUSAPE Town Council secretary, Mr Solomon Gabaza has been put on forced leave to allow the local authority to investigate him on a litany of charges.

Council chairman, Councillor Lyton Sithole who was in the company of his deputy, Cllr Peter Kwesha and works and planning chairman , Cllr Ndabanengi Mataga delivered the suspension letter this morning to Mr Gabaza who immediately left his office and council head offices in a huff.

Cllr Sithole and the two councillors were locked up in a meeting with senior council employees for the greater part of this morning.

He remained tight-lipped on the matter when The Manica Post approached him for a comment on the allegations being levelled against Mr Gabaza.

He said he would give full details when they meet all the legal processes.
Sources said a special full council meeting will be held tomorrow to ratify Mr Gabaza’s suspension.

Town treasurer, Mr Faniseni Shuwa will be the acting secretary.

Mr Gabaza was not reachable for a comment.
