Cristiano Ronaldo believes Kylian Mbappe (pictured) is “the present and the future” of football.
The Juventus forward lavished praise on the 21-year-old PSG star, who he has been deeply impressed by over the last couple of seasons. In a promotional video shared by Marca, Ronaldo said:
“Mbappe is the future and the present. He’s a fantastic player, very fast, and he will be the future.”
Few understand better the pressure and expectation of sustaining a career at the very top of the game like Ronaldo.
Mbappe has enjoyed a similarly meteoric rise and his PSG side could yet meet Juventus in the latter stages of the Champions League.
The French club have work to do after losing 2-1 away at Borussia Dortmund in the last 16 tie.
Juventus and Ronaldo are favourites to progress from their last-16 tie with Lyon and play their first leg next Wednesday. — Daily Mail.
