Provincial Business Indaba on today Minister Mugadza

THE Manica Post will tonight host the first ever Manicaland Provincial Business Indaba which is set to be graced by scores of people from various sectors of the economy.

Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Advocate Misheck Mugadza, will be the guest of honour.

The event will be held under the theme ‘Roadmap to Growing Manicaland’s Economy’.

The event seeks to promote trade and investment in the province and has received a positive response from the Manicaland business community.

It will also bring together captains of industry and all other key stakeholders under one roof to exchange notes on business and economic opportunities abound in the province.

A panel of distinguished business leaders will share their insights on various topics related to their respective sectors.

Among the panellists are Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries (CZI), Manicaland Chapter president, Mr Bernard Makoni; Hospitality Association of Zimbabwe’s Mr Adonis Mutigwe; Manicaland regional representative for the Zimbabwe Miners Association, Mrs Judith Shadaya; ZimTrade regional manager, Mr Admire Jongwe; real estate mogul, Ms Sue Peters and an agriculture specialist.

Organisers of the event said they are ready to deliver a fruitful indaba that will benefit the local economy.

Mrs Wendy Nyakurerwa-Matinde, Editor of The Manica Post said: “We are happy with the response so far, and we are looking forward to a fruitful session. All is set and we are glad that corporates have come in to be part of the event.

“We urge business-minded people from Manicaland and beyond to come in their numbers and be part of this exciting event as it offers them a chance to interact with other influential business people and exchange notes.”

She said the main focus is on how to help grow the province’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

“The event will bring together stakeholders from different sectors to share notes. We are looking at investment opportunities in the tourism, mining, real estate as well agriculture sectors,” she said.
Some of the organisations that have come in as partners include the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA), Big Rock Logistics and the City of Mutare.

The event starts at 6pm at Kapoto Restaurant in Darlington, Mutare.
