THE price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has gone down in US$ and marginally increased in local currency following the latest review by Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA).
A kg of LP gas now costs US$1,71 down from US$1,91 and $1 449,85 up from $1 344,74.
ZERA last reviewed the price in January and the new cost takes immediate effect.
“Stakeholders are advised that the LPG prices for February 2023 calculated according to the Petroleum (Liquified Petroleum Gas Pricing) Regulation 90 of 2021 are a s follows: US$1,71 and $1 449,85 per kg. Operators are advised to display the prices at their retail outlets at a prominent place in clearly legible letters,” said ZERA in a notice to the public this morning.
ZERA said its is permissible to sell LP gas at prices below the prescribed prices depending on trading advantages.
