MANICALAND Provincial Education Director, Mr Edward Shumba, has retired.
Mr Shumba’s last day in office was on Monday.
Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education spokesperson, Mr Taungana Ndoro,
confirmed the development.
Mr Ndoro said Mr Shumba’s replacement will be announced in due course.
Mr Shumba said: “I enjoyed working with the team. Together, we lifted Manicaland to greater heights. I am happy with the achievements we made inside and outside the classroom. I am happy with our academic results at Grade Seven, Ordinary Level and Advanced Level. I leave with a sense of achievement.”
Mr Shumba became Provincial Education Director for Manicaland and was later elevated to Chief Director for the same province until his recent retirement.
