WITH the stage set for the historic Mutare Derby, Manica Diamonds will not hike gate charges as a way of attracting a huge turnout when they host Tenax at Sakubva Stadium on Sunday.
Club chairman Masimba Chihowa said the charges remain at US$3 for the rest of the ground and US$5 for the VIP section or the equivalent in local currency.
He expressed optimism that the match will live up to its top billing and provide value for money for the spectators who are expected to throng the venue.
“The gate charges have not been hiked. Fans will pay the usual US$3 and US$5 at the gate for the rest of the ground and VIP section respectively. We want the people of Manicaland to come and watch their home teams in action for this unprecedented match.
“As the hosts, we are expecting both sets of the two teams’ supporters to come in their droves and be part of the spectacle that will make history for the province,” said Chihowa.
The Mutare Derby fever has gripped Manicaland, with many fans across the province looking forward to the match with relish.
