A 53-YEAR-OLD Mutasa man was on Sunday found dead with his body lying in a pond full of water a day after he went missing.
Acting Manicaland provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka, confirmed the death of Charles Mutero, who was an epileptic patient.
The incident happened in Mundenda Village in Manica Bridge.
Mutero went to Chiodzani Gardens to water his garden on February 12 at around 10am, but did not return home.
“On February 13, villagers conducted a search and Mutero was found lying dead with his head covered by water in a small pond. His body was seen by David Taguma Mutero who made a report at Penhalonga Police Station.
“Mutero’s body was conveyed to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital for post mortem,” said Asst Insp Chinyoka.
