NORMAN Mapeza will have another dance as the Zimbabwe senior men’s national football team after being appointed by the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) as the interim head coach.
ZIFA confirmed the development in a statement.
Mapeza takes over from Baltemor Brito whose contract was not renewed at its expiry late last year.
The FC Platinum gaffer begins his reign at the invitational four-team tournament set for Malawi between March 18 and March 26.
Mapeza was last at the helm when the Warriors competed at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations finals held in Cameroon in 2022 following their postponement owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The tournament which will be played in Lilongwe from the 18th to 26th of March, features hosts Malawi, Kenya, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

He is also a former national team captain and has had several stints as head coach of the men’s senior national team.
