JAIROS Tapera and his men are well aware of the Herculean task that awaits them tomorrow (Thursday) when Manica Diamonds entertain Chegutu Pirate in a Castle Lager Premiership encounter set for Sakubva Stadium.
The match starts at 3pm.
Manica Diamonds are yet to collect a single point from the two rounds of league matches played so far in the 2024 Premiership season.
The Tapera-coached outfit suffered a 3-2 defeat at home against a determined Simba Bhora in the opening round of league matches at Sakubva Stadium a fortnight ago before they went on to succumb to a morale sapping 3-1 loss at the hands of TelOne at Bata Stadium in Gweru last weekend.
The match against Chegutu Pirates is the third of the season.
Tapera said: ‘It is a different and difficult game considering that we lost our last two matches but we have been preparing well and the morale is high in camp. We hope for the best.”
Asked whether he feels under pressure going into tomorrow’s match against Chegutu Pirates given the two defeats on the trot, Tapera said: “We take every match as a new match and it comes with its challenges and pressure. For us, we just want to take the three points.”
