LOCAL tourism and accommodation facility, Golden Peacock has partnered soccer academy, Manicaland Juniors of Excellency (MAJESA) in their quest to support grassroots sport and contribute towards nurturing local talent.
The partnership will also see the two organisations nurturing the less-privileged, yet talented soccer players across Manicaland.
“Plans are underway to officially launch a partnership with MAJESA in our quest to support grassroots sport and play a part in nurturing future stars. Some of the plans include launching an official partnership which will be followed by numerous football matches and mentorship initiatives with the less-privileged in society to bridge the social gap between youths. We are therefore extending our begging bowl to our stakeholders to come aboard with assistance, in cash or kind, to make the official launch a success,” said Golden Peacock general manager, Adonis Mutigwe in a statement.
MAJESA, which is Mutare’s junior football pacesetter, continues to grow in leaps and bounds as they have been consistent in churning out future stars for top-flight league clubs.
Its owner, Charles Chave, said: “We are looking forward to having a fruitful partnership and we are excited that the hotel facility is showing exuberance and verve to develop and nurture the young ones and support grassroots through sport. It has been such a wonderful journey and we hope to make the official launch a success.”
