GREENFUEL’S revival under seasoned coach Rodwell Dhlakama took another giant leap after the Premiership debutants stunned their fancied rivals Dynamos 1-0 in a Castle Lager Premiership match played at Gibbo Stadium this afternoon.
Nqobile Ndlovu settled the contest when his 71st minutes strike earned the Chisumbanje outfit maximum points to blow some winds in their sail against demotion from the elite league in their maiden campaign.
Today’s victory catapulted GreenFuel out of the drop zone as they climbed two places up into 13th position.
They have amassed 17 points from 16 matches.
Dhlakama expressed delight with how his charges went about business to pick up the crucial win.
“This is a good result for us. It sows that we are on the right direction in pursuit of our goal to preserve our place in the Premiership. There is still plenty of room for improvement and we will continue working hard,” said the widely travelled and highly regarded tactician.
GreenFuel have managed two victories, as many defeats and a single draw in their previous five matches.
Their form and results have improved since Dhlakama took over the hot seat.
