Acting Manicaland provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka confirmed the robbery and said: “The complainant left his vehicle unlocked at N Richards’ parking bay. According to CCTV footage recorded by security details seen by The Manica Post, it showed that the prominent businessman and his wife came to N Richards Wholesale to purchase supplies for his supermarket when the robbery occurred.

The footage showed that when Mr Chatogo entered the wholesale, a Nissan Elgrand parked beside his vehicle.

The driver disembarked from the vehicle and proceeded to the wholesale.

While he was close to the entrance he made a quick return.

However, outside the shop the CCTV did not provide much coverage as the Nissan Elgrand was blocking the camera.
