I met my boyfriend through my cousin and we immediately hit it off. He is very good looking and he is also smart, but he is so rude and arrogant. He is spoilt by his parents who give him everything and he looks down upon people who have nothing.
Last weekend we went to visit my friends and he refused to go into their house saying it was filthy. I was embarrassed and now I am thinking what will he do when he comes to my house to meet my parents. I am not from a rich family, but we manage the little we have. Should I continue a relationship with such a guy who makes me feel inadequate?

It seems as though you already have the answer to your question! No-one should ever make you feel inferior or embarrassed to be yourself for whatever reason. One should be respectful of the different environments in which people are born into.
We have no right to judge anyone especially when we do not know their personal struggles and journeys. Having said that, speak to your boyfriend highlighting your concerns about his behaviour towards people.
Remember not to attack or accuse him of anything, just speak to him. If that does not work, you need to find an adult to intervene because it might be a cover to hide a problem he chooses not to deal with. He needs help. However, should this continue, you may need to leave the relationship for you to grow as a young woman who has pride, humility and dignity.
